Details: The Western United States Agricultural Trade Association's (WUSATA) mission is to increase the international growth of Western agribusiness by providing financial support, export readiness, and business development services to companies located in the thirteen Western United States, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Purpose of Position: To support developing, coordinating, and implementing the Export Readiness program by assisting with program initiatives, projects, policies, and procedures consistent with federal, state, and WUSATA regulations and policies.
Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Work with members, contractors, and other teams to run program activities
- Track timelines, metrics, and budgets
- Coordinate parts of the Unified Export Strategy
- Manage the program budget and monitor spending
- Handle change requests and documentation
Administrative Tasks
- Help with contractor hiring and RFPs
- Keep program reports and schedules up to date
- Support compliance reviews with proper documentation
- Assist with strategic planning and member meetings
Communication & Relationships
- Act as a contact point between leadership and program participants
- Report progress and issues to the Director of Programs
- Train members and contractors on program features
Quality & Culture
- Ensure program quality and consistency
- Promote trust, service, integrity, excellence, and accountability
- Support an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace
Data & Strategy
- Use program data to guide strategy and predict future needs
- Update policies and procedures as needed

- Ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Use data to improve program effectiveness
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal)
- Experience managing budgets and analyzing data
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Team player who builds positive relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Comfortable with 25% travel (domestic/international)
- Familiarity with federal grant programs
- Experience in international trade or exports
- Background in training or team coordination
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 2-4 years of experience in program coordination, non-profit management, exporting, or related fields. Additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills; ability to cultivate professionally collaborative relationships at all levels, from team members to board members.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
